  LEVELS:

A.    Newcomer   1st time or weeks

         Prerequisite: interest

 

B.     Newly Intermediate   3 – 12 months

        Prerequisite skills: walk, cross, ochos, lead and follow

 

C.     Experienced Intermediate   1-2 years

             Prerequisite skills: the above plus turns, some experience with ganchos, boleos, sacadas

 

D.    Advanced  2+ years

        Prerequisite skills: all the above plus proficiency in navigation, improvisation and the mechanics of tango

 

    This is a GUIDELINE so you can accurately assess class levels – time does not equal skill, but generally skill improves with time.  We want you to enjoy your classes.  The classes are to be taught at the advertised level.  You may notice classes by the same name taught at different levels, this is because a different amount of base knowledge and skill is assumed.  No two classes will be alike.  Please register for any class at your estimated level or below.  So the newcomer should take level A and the advanced dancer may take all the classes.
